Co-Working to the Extreme
What happens when someone turns a freeway pedestrian bridge into a co-working space? The team at Sunnynook Drive found out when it set up a pop-up space complete with school desks, free WiFi, and a cooler of La Croix sparkling water over the 5 Freeway in Los Angeles’ Atwater Village.
Interestingly, above the chaos below, a group of people “organically” appeared, figured out the scene and steered right into work. Word got out when writer/artist/filmmaker Kailee McGee teamed up with the band YACHT, who posted a teaser about the “weirdest” co-working space on their app.
McGee says the eight desks were filled throughout the day, starting from 11 a.m. No word how the bridge co-workers handled the evening rush hour.
