Co-Working Comes to Crown Heights
Ignitia Office is planning a 17,000-square-foot space at 1002 Dean St., in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, featuring a mix of co-working and more conventional office space. The giant building was originally a service station for Studebaker automobiles. An earlier co-working plan for the building fell through last year.
Most of the space will be filled with relatively conventional single-occupancy offices for $850 a month, and larger spaces for up to 10 employees. However, a fifth of the space will be co-working spaces, with dedicated desks costing $600 per month, and common areas that individuals can have access to for $450 per month.
Ignitia co-founder and CEO Josh Bobrowsky told the local journalists at Patch.com that he is a “serial entrepreneur” who started his first business at age 17. He plans to open Ignitia, his first co-working space, in Q3 2017.
