Costa Mesa Council Approves Sadeghi’s The Plant MXU Development
Lab Holding’s Shaheen Sadeghi, the developer behind Orange County’s popular The Lab and The Camp, received approval from the Costa Mesa City Council on its next development called The Plant. The mixed-use development at Baker Street and Century Place is slated to include 62 new housing units, as well as roughly 20,000 square feet of restaurants, shops and food stalls.
The 2.2-acre site is located in the Sobeca District. The plan calls for a residential mix of 48 apartments and 14 live/work units, as well as 243 parking spaces.
The project had been delayed last year due to concerns over parking. Subsequently, the council relaxed its parking requirements, which allowed The Plant to proceed.
