Cortland Snags 259-Unit Charlotte Apartment Community

Multifamily real estate investment, development and management company Cortland has acquired The Adley at Bryton, a 259-unit apartment community in Charlotte. The sales price was not disclosed.

The property is located within Bryton Town Center, a transit-oriented master-planned mixed-use neighborhood near Charlotte. Cortland has rebranded the newly-constructed community Cortland Huntersville. The firm now owns 11 communities and more than 3,400 units in greater Charlotte. Amenities at the property include a movie theatre, social lounge, saltwater pool, outdoor kitchen, dog park and car care center, as well as a fitness center with circuit and resistance training with high-endurance equipment, free weights, a yoga area and spin bikes.

“Cortland is well-positioned to leverage our existing knowledge of this submarket, where we have participated since 2015, and currently own or manage nearby apartment communities Wren Northlake and Cascades at Northlake,” said Dan Irvin, investment manager at Cortland. “We’re excited to expand our presence in Huntersville and greater Charlotte through Cortland Huntersville.”
