Cordish Joins Team for $2.5B Jacksonville MXU Development
Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies joined a joint-venture that includes Iguana Investments and the Jacksonville Jaguars to develop a $2.5-billion mixed-use sports district in downtown Jacksonville. The development team also unveiled its latest vision for the project envisioned as a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood with first-class amenities and experiences.
The walkable district is planned to include high-rises with office, retail, hotel, convention, entertainment and residential space. The site along the St. Johns River, near the NFL’s EverBank Field, Daily’s Place, Veterans Memorial Arena and the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, was a former brownfield used by shipyards and oil tank farms.
Developed in partnership with internationally-acclaimed Beyer Blinder Belle, the master development plan could eventually span 4.25 million square feet of dining, entertainment, retail, office, hotels and luxury residential living.
