Construction Underway on $215M Arts District Mega-Development
San Diego-based Fairfield Residential and Pasadena-based Legendary Development unveiled more detailed visions for 950 E. Third St. in downtown Los Angeles. The $215-million, 400,000-square-foot, mixed-use development broke ground last week in DTLA’s burgeoning Arts District.
The project is rising on a six-acre site, and will include a series of five- and six-story buildings that are connected by overhead walkways and contain 472 apartments and 22,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Amenities include a two-story social lounge, a dog wash and play area, a rooftop deck, and a courtyard.
The development plan also includes a public pathway through the project, to once again link Third St. and Traction Ave. The project was designed by Berkeley’s Kava Massih Architects, and is scheduled for completion in mid-2018.
