Construction Firm Plans Seattle Sodo Relocation
OAC Services, Inc. plans to relocate its headquarters to a 117-year-old building in Seattle’s Sodo neighborhood by mid-summer. The construction management, architecture and engineering firm signed a new, long-term lease for 20,284 square feet at 2200 1st Avenue South.
OAC will move more than 60 professionals from its current 701 Dexter Avenue North, Lake Union, which gives it proximity to the east side of Puget Sound via Interstates 90 and 5. The new space, designed by SKB Architects, offers an industrial, cool vibe within a 102,500-square-foot former cold storage Olympic Building. It will feature an open floor plan that fosters creativity and collaboration, hoteling options for floating professionals, and dual-purpose space for training and events. OAC also has room for planned growth in the future.
Colliers International represented the tenant, while JLL advised the building owner.
