Construction Begins on 872-Bed Residential Village

Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions reached financial close, and will soon begin construction on Residential Village, a mixed-use, 872-bed student-housing development that will serve sophomore students attending Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. The public-private partnership project, valued at $75.5 million, will be situated on the campus itself, and is scheduled for an August 2019 opening.

The development will consist of three, four, and five-story Georgian-style buildings that will include three separate apartment units available on-site for resident directors. Also included will be a fitness center, lounge and study areas, multipurpose space, offices for the University’s Housing and Residence Life department.

Texas-based Hill & Wilkinson is the project’s construction contractor, and Stantec is the lead architect. Collegiate Housing Foundation, a national non-profit entity, is the project’s residential facility owner.
