Conagra Plans 40K-SF Innovation Hub Next to HQ
Conagra Brands said Wednesday it would build a 40,000-square-foot innovation center adjacent to its existing headquarters at Vornado Realty Trust’s The Mart. The Conagra Brands Center for Food Design at 350 N. Orleans St. will focus on innovation related to snacking.
Housing up to 50 employees, the new facility is intended to combine culinary, and food and packaging design expertise in a space that enables rapid development of contemporary, on-trend products. It’s slated to open in the first quarter of 2020.
“Conagra Brands’ $2-billion snacks business is one of the largest and fastest-growing in the food industry,” said Tom McGough, Conagra EVP and co-COO. “We expect the capabilities in this new facility to enable us to create even more innovative products.”
Conagra will continue operating the Center for Food Design and Technology in Omaha, which will also remain the R&D hub for its food safety and technology development teams.
Connect Chicago Fall 2019 will take place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
