Commodities Trader Expands to Full Floor at 437 Madison
Commodities trader/private equity firm ACT Commodities Inc. is expanding to take a full floor at the William Kaufman Organization’s 437 Madison Ave., a 40-story office tower in the Plaza District.
ACT, which specializes in helping businesses buy and sell environmental commodities, is adding 4,805 square feet and will now occupy a total of 17,750 square feet. The deal is for 10 years.
The tenant’s expansion follows the building’s recent $60-million renovation and capital improvement program.
“Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to reposition and transform our building in order to meet the needs of today’s modern tenants,” said Michael Lenchner of Sage Realty, WKO’s leasing and management division. “We view this expansion for ACT as a vote of confidence in our efforts.”
Lenchner and a JLL team of Frank Doyle, David Kleiner, Cynthia Wasserberger, Hayley Shoener and Harlan Webster represented ownership. Savills’ L. Craig Lemle advised ACT.
