Coming to Conroe: School of Osteopathic Medicine

Sam Houston State University’s proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine now has an official location. The five-story, 216,000-square-foot facility will be situated in Johnson Development Corp.’s Grand Central Park, located in Conroe, TX. Construction will launch on the 7.3-acre site by the end of 2018.

SHSU has been working on the proposed college to serve the needs of the medically underserved population in rural East Texas. The college will collaborate with hospitals in the region to establish residency training programs for the underserved areas.

The 2,000-acre Grand Central Park is on Loop 366 South, and includes residences and commercial real estate.
