Coming to an Airport Near You: Robot-Made Coffee

Briggo Inc., headquartered in Austin, entered into a deal with SSP America to open its fully-automated Coffee Hauses at U.S. and Canadian airports. Briggo’s coffee kiosks, which are 40 square feet, serve a range of hot and iced coffees and teas. The company targets high-profile areas for its kiosks, including airports, medical facilities, educational facilities and grocery stores.

SSP America, a division of SSP Group, is a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations — including airports — worldwide. “Briggo delivers serious innovation to brewing coffee that we believe will enhance the traveler’s experience,” said SSP America’s Pat Murray. “We think airports are going to find Briggo an excellent addition to their retail landscape, given its small footprint, minimal requirements and turnkey installation.”

Briggo’s Kevin Nater said the SSP partnership “will allow us to significantly increase the speed and scale at which we enable access to specialty coffee in airports.”
