Columbus Ave. BID’s Taste UWS Fundraiser Returns for 11th Year
The Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District is seeing 14 local restaurants and bars coming into its annual Taste of the Upper West Side (Taste UWS) event set for May 18 and 19. They’ll be among 80-plus restaurants showcasing their wares under a 40-foot high tent spanning Columbus Avenue between West 76th and West 77th streets.
“Not since the first couple Taste of the Upper West Sides have so many new restaurants joined us at one time,” said Barbara Adler, executive director of the Columbus Avenue BID. “It’s a true testament to the significance of this event as a marketing opportunity for our local restaurants, as well as its importance as a fundraiser for Upper West Side improvement and beautification projects.” This will be Taste UWS’s 11th consecutive year.
The BID has also confirmed that DJ Phresh will make his third consecutive appearance at the annual fundraiser, spinning open-format mash-ups.
