Colliers Expands Affordable Housing Platform Nationally

Colliers International is expanding its affordable housing platform nationwide. The brokerage firm recruited a top team with “unparalleled” expertise in this highly-technical sector of the multifamily market to grow its reach.

John Nguyen, a nationally-recognized leader, joins after spending nearly 16 years at Marcus & Millichap. Arriving with him from Marcus & Millichap is Jesse Elsanhuty, another early leader in the sector. The pair, who will be based in SoCal, bring more than 25 years of experience, and will collaborate with Kevin Morris in Ft. Lauderdale, and James Lampman in Seattle.

The team will focus on properties involving Section 8 (Low-Income Housing), HUD Section 202 (Housing for the Elderly), state-assisted and other value-add affordable housing projects.

Colliers’ Robert Caudill said, “There is a deep need by investors, sellers and buyers for representation in this sector, and we plan to lead the brokerage charge to assist them.”
