College Begins Construction on 128K-SF Training Center
Collin College launched construction on a new, 128,000-square-foot public safety training center in McKinney, TX, north of Dallas. The groundbreaking also served as the official launch of the college’s master plan, which is dedicated toward expanding programming for both academics and workforce. The center is part of the $600-million bond package that will come before area voters in May 2017. The center is anticipated to be completed by summer 2018.
The new facility at 3600 Redbud Blvd. will house the college’s fire science and law enforcement academics, as well as providing a professional development-training site for Collin County’s energy services personnel. The center is being built in cooperation with McKinney and Allen, TX, which are also providing funds.
