Clarion Partners’ 1.1M SF Logistics Center Coming to “Hub City”
As vacancy among industrial assets continues to dwindle with the rising demand of same-day shipping, Clarion Partners is underway in its development of Brickyard South Bay, a 1.1 million square foot industrial project in the city of Compton.
Located at 1701 N. Central Avenue and 1430 N. McKinley Avenue, on a former brick manufacturing facility, the 58-acre industrial hub will house two Class A, LEED Gold certified buildings, with a combined 199 dock doors and nearly 580 parking spaces. Brickyard’s buildings can house 20% more inventory, as they have 36 foot-tall ceilings rather than the standard 32 feet.
CBRE’s Executive Vice President and Co-Leader of the CBRE Global Port Logistics Group Bret Quinlan, EVP John Schumacher, David Stromath and Dean Haney are leading the marketing. The project is slated for completion in August.
