Claremont Project Receives Upland Approval
A 75-acre site owned by the Claremont University Consortium, that sits in two cities, has been approved for development. The former quarry mine that’s currently being used as a landfill will be converted into an athletic complex with more than 800 parking spaces for the Claremont Colleges.
The Upland, CA City Council approved plans and permits for the Claremont College East Campus Project, which includes a football stadium, baseball and softball practice fields on Upland’s 45 acres. The remaining 30 acres are in Claremont, CA.
Under the development agreement the consortium will pay for infrastructure improvements totaling $6.1 million. That includes planned improvements on Foothill Blvd., Monte Vista Ave., and Arrow Rt.
