Civitas Nabs Another Waco Hotel

Ten days after announcing its buy of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Waco, TX, Civitas Capital Group and partner Atlantic Hotels Group closed on the acquisition of the 93-room TownePlace Suites next door. The TownePlace Suites, at 5621 Legend Lake Pkwy., is in Waco’s Legends Crossing, a 150-acre, mixed-use project next to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Hillcrest.

The seller was listed as Waco Lodging LLC of Irving, TX. A sales price was not disclosed, with the property assessed at $9.6 million. Atlantic Hotels will manage the property, as well as the next-door Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

The TownPlace Suites opened in 2016. In addition to guestrooms, the property offers 822 square feet of meeting space, along with an outdoor pool and fitness and business centers.
