CityView Sets 2017 Opening for $80M Baker Block

Los Angeles-based CityView and Irvine, CA-based Red Oak Investments set a mid-2017 opening for Baker Block, an $80-million, 240-unit luxury apartment community in Costa Mesa, CA. Construction is already underway on the first residential project in Costa Mesa’s business park district, near John Wayne Airport.

The four-story residential structure will wrap around a six-story parking structure, and include such amenities as a rooftop deck, fitness center, dog park, bike storage, as well as outdoor spaces with a resort-style pool, barbecue grills and fire pits. The 4.17-acre site, located at 125 East Baker St., was rezoned from industrial park to high density residential.

CityView’s Sean Burton says, “Orange County is an important market for CityView as it is now entering the redevelopment phase, where obsolete structures are being converted into housing.”
