Circuit City is Collaborating with Former Competition

Circuit City faced its demise back in 2009, while Amazon was taking off. Under its second post-bankruptcy owner, the electronics store is opening a “storefront” on Amazon.com.
In 2005, Circuit City negated collaboration with Amazon and instead, hosted its own e-commerce store. However, the newest owner plans to leverage Amazon’s power, as well as open chains of smaller electronics brick-and-mortar stores.
The first small store is set to open in Texas, although its June debut in Dallas was delayed.
