Chinese Company Taking Space in Katy
CNPC USA Corp., a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp., is planning a technology and innovation center in Katy, TX, west of Houston. The facility will focus on research and development of drilling and stimulation fluids, drilling technology, completions products, high temperature and high-pressure testing, inventory management and quality control.
Construction is underway on the project’s first phase, a 34,864-square-foot facility in the Ten West Crossing Business Park at 22440 Merchants Way. The building will include 8,600 square feet of office space and 19,464 square feet of crane-served manufacturing space. The second phase will consist of a build-out of a new, 5,400-square-foot chemical laboratory.
EastGroup Properties owns Ten West Crossing. InSite Realty negotiated the lease transactions. Roseberger Construction and Brewer Construction are the general contractors on the build.
