Chick-fil-A to Open 20 Michigan Locations
Fast-food restaurant Chick-fil-A will reportedly announce its Michigan expansion at the April 19 groundbreaking of the first free-standing restaurant in the state. If all goes according to plan, Michigan could boast 20 Chick-fil-A locations by 2021.
The first free-standing restaurant will be at 5617 W. Saginaw Hwy. in Gaines Township. A proposal for a second Grand Rapids area location will soon be heard by the Wyoming planning commission. The company said it also plans to open a location in Troy by the end of this year.
The only two Chick-fil-A locations currently operating in the state are on the Oakland University campus and at Detroit Metro Airport.
