Chegg Takes Full Floor at 31 Penn Plaza

Vanbarton Group completed a seven-year lease, totaling 24,205 square feet, with Chegg at 31 Penn Plaza, located at 132 West 31st St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues in Midtown South. The education technology company will occupy the 18-story building’s entire 12th floor.

Vanbarton was represented by JLL’s Mitchell Konsker, Matthew Astrachan, and Kyle Young. Chegg was represented by NKF’s Scott Brown. The company is relocating its New York office from 10 E. 39th St.

“Chegg’s focus on its employees was clear from the start, as the company stressed the need for a collaborative and efficient new environment,” said Astrachan. “31 Penn Plaza will provide this and more.”

In the past year, JLL has inked more than 150,000 square feet in leases at 31 Penn Plaza for Vanbarton, including Spaces taking 83,840 square feet, online pharmacy Capsule Corp. signing for 20,726 square feet, and ExecOnline taking 10,204 square feet.
