Chef Matthew Kenney Signs Lease for NoMad Restaurant

Klövern has signed a lease with celebrity chef Matthew Kenney for approximately 7,850 square feet of restaurant space at the ground and lower levels at 1245 Broadway. The 23-story office project, which Klövern is developing with locally-based GDS Development Management, is located at the corner of Broadway and 31st Street in NoMad.

The tenant is expected to open operations in the second quarter of 2022 and the lease term is 10 years. A well-known chef, entrepreneur, author and educator, Kenney is the owner of more than 40 restaurants in 20 cities on five continents around the world.
“Matthew Kenney’s full-service restaurant and catering operation will offer great added value to the building, its tenants and visitors,” said Klövern’s CEO, Rutger Arnhult.

CBRE is handling leasing of both the office space and ground-floor retail at 1245 Broadway. The developers are aiming for LEED Silver certification.
