Champion Site Prep Planning New Georgetown Facility
Champion Site Prep Inc. (CSP) unveiled plans to build a permanent facility in Georgetown, TX, a far-north Austin suburb. The company, which performs earthwork, site development and excavation services in Central Texas, has 18 acres under contract on Interstate 35 and CR 143, on which the new facility will be built.
CSP had been leasing a building on SH 195 in Georgetown until its lease ended in summer 2018. While the city had worked with the company to find a new location, CSP ended up moving to temporary space in Jarrell, TX. With the new building, however, CSP will bring 200 jobs back to Georgetown, along with spearheading more than $17 million of new capital investment.
The Georgetown City Council recently approved an economic development incentive agreement for a $500,000 infrastructure reimbursement grant from the Georgetown Economic Development Corp.
