Center for Employment Opportunities Inks New HQ Lease

The Center for Employment Opportunities Inc. signed a lease for new headquarters space in Oklahoma City. The tenant, which provides job training for formerly incarcerated Oklahoma residents, will be operating at 501 N. Walker St.

Susan Davis Jordan, CCIM and Kelsey Gilbert with CBRE represented the tenant. The landlord, Dowell Properties Inc. of Norman, OK, was self-represented in the 8,290-square-foot lease.

“The Center for Employment Opportunities had a very unique set of needs when searching for their new headquarters, including a desire for an easily-accessed location and, as they had outgrown their existing space, fairly immediate occupancy,” Jordan said. “501 North Walker Street fit perfectly for a variety of reasons, including its proximity to the bus station and downtown, a layout that worked for their needs with little tenant improvement, and the opportunity for quick occupancy.”

The building opened in the late 1940s, has been renovated, and is currently being leased as creative office space.
