Cedar Hill, Taj Hospitality Begin Convention Center Development

The city of Cedar Hill partnered with Taj Hospitality to break ground on a hotel and convention center project. Once completed, the development will bring 136 hotel rooms and 20,000 square feet of hotel and convention center space to the south suburban Dallas city.

The convention center and Aloft hotel are going north on the eastern side of the Hillside Village shopping center, The completion date of the $25-million project is scheduled for summer, 2021.

The project is being developed and operated as a public-private partnership. Taj Hospitality will own and build the hotel, while the city is responsible for developing and oversight of the convention facility.
