CBRE Team Sells $85M Orange County Retail Center
Buena Park Downtown, a 535,000-square-foot regional mall in Orange County, recently traded hands in an $85-million transaction completed by a team of CBRE brokers.
Sources say the 93-percent leased property was acquired by Newkoa LLC, which was represented by CBRE’s Timothy Bower and Johnny Choi. CBRE’s Philip Voorhees represented the seller, New York-based Coventry Real Estate Advisors.
The repositioned site at 8308 on the Mall in Buena Park, one of five regional malls in Orange County, is adjacent to Knott’s Berry Farm. It is home to such retailers as DSW, TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, 24 Hour Fitness and Metroplex Theaters. The mall’s other anchor tenants, not included in this transaction, are Sears and Walmart.
