Caruso’s Montecito Resort to be Priciest on California Coast
April 5, 2017
The five-star Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito is under construction near Santa Barbara, CA. Rick Caruso, who is investing more than $200 million developing the project, says he believes the resort will be the most expensive on the California coast.
Located on the site of the former Miramar By The Sea Hotel, Miramar Resort will include 161 guest rooms and family bungalows on 16 acres of prime beachfront. The property is planned to open in summer 2018.
The design inspiration for the resort is old-world luxury, similar to what one would find in a great estate from the ’30s or ’40s that will transport guests back in time.
Prominent hotel industry leader Ali Kasikci, the former manager of the Peninsula Beverly Hills for more than 15 years, has been tapped to lead Caruso’s hotel business.
