CA Logistics Firm Enters NJ Market with Warehouse Buy
Kal Freight is entering the New Jersey market with its acquisition of 15 Rte. 173, a 30,000-square-foot warehouse in the northwestern town of Hampton, NJ. Cushman & Wakefield’s Daniel Badenhausen and Andrew Stypa represented the buyer, a Chino, CA-based logistics firm that also has a presence in Dallas and Indianapolis.
“This is a valuable asset,” said Badenhausen. “It’s a robust truck terminal with 15- to 20-foot clear ceiling heights, abundant trailer parking, and a unique location. Its proximity to the Bethlehem, PA and Philipsburg, NJ areas, which are experiencing rapid growth in big-box warehouse distribution buildings, adds to the potential for the structure.”
15 Rte. 173 is strategically located along the I-78 and I-81 corridor linking New Jersey with the entire East Coast, Badenhausen added. “The location also enables access to the Midwest and Southeast. Amenities like 50 loading doors, and cross-docking contributed to the attraction of the property.”
