C&W Inks 11-Year Lease for New Chicago HQ

Cushman & Wakefield Inc.’s Chicago office inked an 11-year lease for 83,030 square feet at 225 W. Wacker Dr. in Chicago. The move will consolidate employees from two other Wacker Drive Buildings. The commercial real estate brokerage firm currently has space at 200 S. Wacker Dr. and 77 W. Wacker Dr, where DTZ was based before it merged with Cushman & Wakefield.

The new space is actually sublet space. The previous tenant, the law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer, relocated to 111 S. Wacker Dr. after its merger with Locke Lord in 2014.

The Cushman & Wakefield relocation is planned for April. The new space will become the company’s Chicago office, as well as its official headquarters.
