Burlington Stores Backfills Vacant Toys “R” Us in Raritan

Off-price retailer Burlington Stores plans to open a new, 46,000-square-foot location at Somerville Circle Shopping Center in Raritan, NJ in Spring 2020. The tenant will occupy a freestanding box formerly occupied by Toys “R” Us/Babies “R” Us.

Levin Management Corporation’s Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty arranged the lease on behalf of ownership. Clifford Simon and David Rosen of CNS Real Estate represented the tenant.

“Off price retailers are thriving in the current marketplace, and Burlington – which is aggressively expanding its footprint – is no exception,” said Fernandez-Kelty. Burlington currently operates approximately 690 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico.

Somerville Circle Shopping Center is anchored by Staples, Petco and P.C. Richard & Son. Other national and regional tenants include Carter’s, Jersey Mike’s, Panera Bread, Burger King, Five Below and Harmon Discount.
