Burgerim Expands by 9 Franchisees in NJ

JLL has completed nine separate retail transactions, totaling 17,897 square feet, for Burgerim franchisees throughout New Jersey. Launched in 2011 in Southern California, Burgerim is now spreading eastward.

A JLL team of Marta Villa, Conor Ryan and Blake Shanaphy, along with Home Quest Properties’ Michael Asayag, represented Burgerim franchises in Englewood (pictured), Piscataway, Union, Metuchen, Elmwood Park, Cranford and Bergenfield. Villa represented ownership in two Burgerim leases in Newark and New Brunswick.

In the Englewood and Bergenfield leases, Ripco Real Estate’s Michael Rawlins and Colby Piper represented ownership. Edgewood Properties’ Michael McDermott represented ownership in Piscataway; CBRE’s Michael Horne represented ownership in Union; Tri State Commercial Realty’s Danielle Sobol represented ownership in Metuchen; Cushman & Wakefield’s David Townes represented Elmwood Park ownership; and Garden Commercial Properties’ David Gartenberg represented Cranford ownership.

“The tenants chose locations in well-known retail shopping environments that were very well-populated with synergistic retailers,” said Villa.
