Bruce Cohen Joins Courtland as Senior Managing Partner
Atlanta-based Courtland expanded its leadership team with the addition of Bruce Cohen as senior managing partner of Investments and Strategic Initiatives. Cohen served as a board member of Courtland for the past four years, and an advisor for the past six months. He will report directly to Courtland CEO Steven DeFrancis, and lead initiatives to increase discretionary capital under management and expand geographic and product reach.
DeFrancis says, “We’re glad to add his expertise in operating platforms and enterprise capital structures to our team. With his long and successful history in real estate investment – and his belief in Courtland’s vision – we’re now even better positioned to accelerate our growth.”
Previously, Cohen served as CEO of Wrightwood Financial, where he oversaw in excess of $5 billion of investment activity before the operating platform was sold to Ares Management. At Ares, he was responsible for its real estate debt platform, and served as president and COO of Ares Commercial Real Estate Corp.
Connect National Investment & Finance is just around the corner on October 18. You can find out more about the conference and register to join us on this link.
