Bronx Pro Group and S:US Break Ground on Bronx Affordable Project

Officials from city housing agencies joined Bronx Pro Group, S:US, Enterprise Community Partners and nonprofit organizations recently to break ground on Jerome Avenue Apartments, a new 175-unit supportive housing mixed-use building in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx. The 16-story, 144,000-square-foot apartment complex will provide low-income and supportive housing along with 7,000 square feet of retail.

“Jerome Avenue Apartments will bring much needed affordable housing with onsite supportive services to the Bronx,” said Eric Enderlin, president of the New York City Housing Development Corporation. “Thanks to the collaborative work of government, nonprofit and private-sector partners, this development will soon offer a foundation of stability and hope to some of our most vulnerable New Yorkers.”

Jerome Avenue Apartments is being built to meet Enterprise Green Communities Criteria. It’s one of six affordable housing developments under the $189-million Jerome Avenue Neighborhood Plan approved by City Council in March 2018.
