BoundTrain Real Estate Acquires 65K-SF Arlington Office Building

BoundTrain Real Estate has acquired a 65,078-square-foot office building located at 2300 9th St. in South Arlington. The sales price was not disclosed.

Constructed in 1970, the eight-story office property features a top floor balcony with views of the Washington Monument, the Washington National Cathedral and Rosslyn. BoundTrain plans to renovate and reposition the building as a modern, boutique office alternative. Plans for the repositioning include a shared conference room, locker rooms and an outdoor plaza, as well as a new main lobby entrance, restroom and HVAC system.

CBRE represented the seller, BM Smith, in the transaction. BoundTrain was represented by Sterling Commercial Real Estate. Jeanette Ko, Scott Goldberg and Conn Curry of Cushman & Wakefield have been tapped to handle leasing at the property. Colliers International will provide property management services.
