Bosch plans to relocate its Research and Technology Center to a 104,000-square-foot office at Oakmead Tower in Sunnyvale, CA. The company is making a $40 million commitment over a 10-year lease term.
The German tech and industrial company is shifting 300 employees located in three offices in Palo Alto, into one location at 384 Santa Trinita Ave. that provides room for expansion. The move is expected to be completed by the end of the year, and involves Bosch’s research, venture capital and other divisions.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Rich Hardy represented the tenant. Cushman & Wakefield’s Scott Ennis handled the sublease, which reportedly involved terminating a lease with Symantec.
The four-story, Class A office building was built on spec in 2013 by TMG Partners and Principal Real Estate Investors. The space includes research labs, workshops, garage space, meeting rooms and administrative workspace.
