BONMi in 23rd Street’s Restaurant Hub

This month, Vietnamese sandwich shop BONMi opened its third store in a new, 3,856-square-foot location at 119 E. 23rd St. in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.
“The 23rd Street corridor is flourishing with new food retail… benefiting from the proximity of school campuses, an emerging residential population and the growing foot traffic from commuters,” said Jason Pruger, managing director for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, which represented the building owner in the transaction.
The 22-story tower includes office space and 95 large residential units. The asking rent for the ground floor retail space was $200 per square foot.
