Bon Secours Mercy Health Will Add 500 Jobs at Cincy Hub

The merged Bon Secours Mercy Health hospital system is locating most of its executive operations in Cincinnati and plans to create 500 full-time jobs at its building in the city’s Bond Hill neighborhood. However, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported that the health system prefers to use the word “hub” rather than headquarters to describe the campus.

“Consolidating the bulk of our shared services at one location enhances efficiencies and effectiveness for our ministry, while benefiting the economic health of Bond Hill and Cincinnati,” said John Starcher, the system’s president and CEO,  in a statement from the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati.

REDI Cincinnati worked with the company to put the hub operations at the Bond Hill campus that Mercy Health built in 2016. Mercy Health merged with the Maryland hospital network Bon Secours Health System last year, creating one of the nation’s largest Catholic healthcare systems.
