Blackstone In Talks to Acquire Marriott Hill Country Resort

The Blackstone Group LP is reportedly in talks to buy the 1,002-room J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa on San Antonio’s north side. Miller Global Properties of Denver owns the 644-acre property. Previous reports indicating that the property was sold are incorrect, according to the San Antonio Express News.

The property at 23808 Resort Pkwy. opened in 2010 and recently underwent $16 million in improvements, including an expansion of the seven-acre water park called River Bluff. The resort also features two 18-hole golf courses, a 45,000-square-foot clubhouse, two fitness centers, a spa, 265,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and eight restaurants and bars.
