Black Bear Capital Opens Offices in Chicago, NJ

Black Bear Capital Partners (BBCP), a real estate financial advisory firm and affiliate of Black Bear Asset Management, has expanded its national platform by opening new offices in Chicago and New Jersey.

The veteran capital advisory team of Matthew Stearns, Scott Modelski and Zach Fitzgerald will operate out of the newly formed Chicago office at 20 N. Wacker Dr., and will focus on commercial real estate debt and equity transactions nationally with a primary focus in the Midwest region. All three joined from Chicago-based Alpha Capital CRE.

Eric Trombly will also operate out of the newly-formed Chicago office and will be responsible for direct principal investments. Trombly joined from Meridian Capital Group.

In addition, Emil DePasquale and Brandon Harris, managing partners of BBCP and formerly of Meridian, will be expanding the New Jersey office with plans to hire 2-3 new senior advisors.

Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
