Best Buy Subsidiary GreatCall to Open a Call Center

GreatCall, a California-based company that provides wearable technology, along with health, safety and wellness applications for senior citizens, is opening a 50,000-square-foot service center in San Antonio. The company, a subsidiary of consumer electronics retailer Best Buy, will take space at 9810 SH 151, with opening planned for October. The center in the Westover Hills area will bring 400 jobs to the area.

The new facility, at Stream Realty Partners’ One51 Office Centre, will feature training rooms, a state-of-the-art telephone system, and sit-stand workstations. GreatCall offers connected health and personal emergency response services for older individuals through mobile products. Best Buy acquired the company in 2018 for $800 million.

The San Antonio call center will be GreatCall’s third. The company currently operates call centers in Reno, NV and Carlsbad, CA.
