Berkadia Boosts Denver Team with Two Additions

Berkadia expanded its Denver team with the addition of Monica Newman and Nick Steele. Newman joins as Managing Director, and will be a part of Berkadia’s growing HUD Affordable Housing team, reporting to Steve Ervin. Steele, who joins as Senior Director, will report to Keith Misner.

Ervin says of the strategic addition of Newman, “The critical need for housing in communities across the entire country is only growing and Monica’s expertise, particularly in the Mountain West market, will be invaluable to enabling us to ensure this vital resource is broadly available.”

Strong demand in Colorado and the Mountain West prompted Steele’s addition. Misner says, “[Steele’s] professional approach and transactional experience throughout Colorado will enable our team to expand our impact creating real value for our clients.”

Newman joins from CBRE’s Capital Markets team, and was a two-time recipient of the Colbert Coldwell Circle award. Steele joins from Marcus & Millichap, having facilitated more than $250 million in multifamily investment sales transactions in Colorado.
