Benchmark Resorts Hired to Manage Waves Resort Corpus Christi

Diamond Beach Holdings LLC hired Benchmark Resorts & Hotels for resort and hotel operations of Waves Resort Corpus Christi. The resort owner also hired Innovative Attraction Management LLC to handle waterpark operations of the destination resort on North Padre Island, TX. Diamond Beach Holdings of Houston took ownership of the resort/waterpark/conference center venue in May 2018.

Benchmark Resorts & Hotels operates Hotel Contessa and La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, the Texas A&M Conference Center in College Station and the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Waters Creek Convention Center in Allen, near Dallas. Meanwhile, IAM will assume operations of the on-site Schlitterbahn water park, including lifeguards, supervisors, park services and EMT staff, along with capital improvement recommendations.

Diamond Beach Holdings has, to date, invested more than $15 million in upgrades to the resort at 14353 Commodores Dr. Renovations have included adding more than 30,000 square feet to the property’s conference and entertainment facilities.
