Belmont Village Tops Out Lincoln Park Seniors Facility
Belmont Village Senior Living has topped out its seven-story senior living community at 700 W. Fullerton Ave. in Lincoln Park. Contractor W.E. O’Neil completed the concrete structure with the final roof placement.
Although Belmont Village has other senior living facilities in Chicagoland, this is its first in the city proper. “As an urban site, it brings unique opportunities,” said CEO Patricia Will. “We’ve worked with W.E. O’Neil for years, and together we have an excellent track record of creating exceptional, high functioning communities for our residents that also fit beautifully into the neighborhood.”
The 120,500-square-foot property is scheduled to open in summer 2019 with 149 units of assisted living and memory care for area residents. It’s on the site of the original, circa-1932 Nellie Black building, which housed nurses and interns on the Children’s Memorial Hospital campus, incorporating both design elements and salvaged pieces from the original structure.
