Beer Industry Adds $25.5B Annually to Texas Economy

A new economic impact study, entitled “Beer Serves America,” pointed out that the beer industry adds 170,200 jobs to the state of Texas, annually, while contributing close to $25.5 billion, also on an annual basis. Additionally, the Texas beer industry accounts for $8.1 billion each year in wages and benefits, while generating $4.2 billion annually in business, personal and consumption taxes.

The report was jointly commissioned by the National Beer Wholesalers Association and the Beer Institute. On a national basis, the industry generates more than $328 billion in economic activity, produces more than $58.6 billion in tax revenue, and supports more than two million jobs.

The metrics takes into account both the direct and indirect jobs and dollars generated when it comes to beer production and distribution.
