Bed Bath & Beyond Stays Put at Chelsea Flagship

Bed Bath and Beyond has reaffirmed its three-decade commitment to its Chelsea flagship store with a 92,000-square-foot lease at RXR Realty’s 620 Sixth Ave.

Crain’s New York Business reported that the home goods retailer plans to reconfigure its existing location—minus 20,000 square feet it gave up across two floors—to build the multilevel flagship.

Bed Bath will occupy 60,000 square feet on the first floor, 22,000 square feet below and additional space at the back of the house.

Led by Peter Ripka, Ripco represented Bed Bath in leasing negotiations. RXR was represented in-house by Reed Zukerman, Brian Cheeseman and Whitney Arcaro.

“It’s been a privilege to play an important role in the lives of generations of New Yorkers,” COO John Hartmann said, “and we’re thrilled to renew our position in the heart of Chelsea.”
