Beaumont Hospital Launches $160M Expansion

Beaumont Hospital of Farmington Hills, MI, began its $160 million expansion. The plans call for more than 210,000 square feet to be added to the 495,475-square-foot hospital through a five-story patient tower and expansion of the emergency department and critical care unit.

The project is the largest in the history of the 51-year-old hospital, and is geared to add more evaluation bays and private patient rooms. Also included are renovations to already existing private and semi-private rooms, as well as a new lobby and reception area. Beaumont will fund $150 million of the project, with the additional $10 million coming from a donor capital campaign.
