Beacon Capital’s 1 North Dearborn Wins TOBY from Chicago BOMA

Beacon Capital Partners’ 1 North Dearborn won The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award in the renovated building category from the Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA). The award recognizes quality and excellence in commercial buildings in Chicago.

“We are proud to be recognized by BOMA Chicago for the work we’ve done to transform this property and create a distinctive workspace that offers tenants next-generation innovation within a historic building,” said Beacon’s Greg O’Neal. Beacon acquired the century-old 1 North Dearborn in 2015 and undertook extensive capital improvements.

MB Real Estate serves as property manager. O’Neal said, “Winning the TOBY award is a testament to their dedication towards the overall success of the building, tenants and ownership.”

Since acquiring the property, Beacon has leased 541,000 square feet. Most recently, the Chicago Fire Soccer team leased 53,000 square feet, and ActiveCampaign expanded its lease to 100,000 square feet.

Connect Industrial Midwest is coming to Rosemont, IL on March 4. For more information, or to register, click here.
