Basis CEO Tammy Jones Joins Mack-Cali Board
Basis Investment Group LLC CEO Tammy K. Jones will join the board of directors for Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, a Jersey City-based office and multifamily REIT. She joins five new and four existing chairs charged with overseeing corporate governance at Mack-Cali.
“I am excited to join Mack-Cali’s newly appointed board of distinguished professionals, including strong women and people of color,” said Jones. “Diversity of thought, opinion, ethnicity and background is not just the right thing to do to create a more equitable society, but it also adds to the bottom line as proven in numerous studies. I hope this step towards increased representation is one of many in the commercial real estate industry from entry level to the board room.”
In addition to Jones, the reconstituted board includes Alan R. Batkin, Michael Berman, Frederic Cumenal, A. Akiva Katz, Nori Gerado, Mahbod Nia, Howard S. Stern and newly elected Chair MaryAnne Gilmartin.
